January 2012 Course Report
The Russell Stutely Basic Pressure Point Instructor Course took place at Tenki Ryu Ju Jitsu Academy, Winchester, UK.
The course was a resounding success with people travelling from all around the UK and beyond to take part. On hand were various OCFM Coaches and members of my Platinum Training and mentoring Program to take part and to assist others.
I never fail to be impressed with the training attitude of these course attendees. Their MA backgrounds are so different and yet there is NONE of the usual politics and “my style is better than yours” attitudes.
Everyone just immersed themselves into the training and took the opportunity to take on board the information.
It was a fast paced course, packed with information. Again I was impressed with everyones ability to absorb what was being taught and to apply it to what they do.
My way of teaching is to sometimes ask a question in a way that MAKES YOU understand the answer… thankfully that came across well on this course. Light bulbs were continuously going on!
A huge thank you to all the attendees and welcome to the start of a great Pressure Point journey. You all know what I mean now when I talk about Players and how effective they are. You all know that I lie when I say “this one does not hurt”
Thanks must also go to Master John Andrews for teaching these principles and points into grappling. This enabled people to see and feel (even though it does not work – he he he) the same “stand up” principles being applied on the ground.
