Frequently Asked Questions

These are the typical questions we get asked at least a zillion times a year.. so please check them out BEFORE you ask!

How do I Book Russell for a Seminar... ?

The simple answer is that you can't. Russell Stutely no longer teaches Seminars outside of his OCFM Group and his various Training Courses.

There is a slight possibility, due to the massive demand, that Russell may go on tour in 2009. This is yet to be confirmed.

What will I learn at a Seminar?

Well, it depends on the seminar and the OCFM Coach that is teaching. If it is Kata Bunkai then you will learn how and why Katas can be made to work effectively in the street.

You will not be blinded with science and overloaded with loads of technical Traditional Chinese Medicine terminology. You will be given, clear, concise and easy to understand Instruction to help you become much better at what you do.

You will definitely learn the below:

Balance Points
Power generation
Pressure points and how to make them work
Players to the Game
Much More

Will it hurt?

The simple answer is yes. But the pain is instantaneously on and instantaneously off. In 12 years of teaching seminars all over the World, everyone has felt loads of pain, but no-one has ever been hurt or injured.

What are these Players to the Game?

Components of the delivery system. Technique enhancers. They are NOT techniques

A natural way of moving that generates enormous amounts of Power and Impact

How quickly can I become an OCFM Coach?

How long is a piece of string? Some people have achieved Coach level after one of my week long training camps. Others have taken many months or even a year to achieve that level. You learn at your own pace and you are under no pressure.

The ONLY way to become an OCFM Coach is via the Russell Stutely Platinum Training Program

Lots of the RBSD people say that you can't hit a pressure point in a real fight

What they should say, is that THEY can't hit a pressure point in a fight! If you do not train for something then you will get EXACTLY what you train for. I train to hit as hard as possible and as accurately as possible. In this way, if accuracy is off for whatever reason, then I should be hitting hard enough to shatter your jaw anyway.

Again.. NOT ONE of these people has ANY experience of what we do or teach... just keyboard stuff... again!

My Instructor says that we already have pressure points in our system and we will learn them when I am ready

Great.. ask why you are not ready to learn them now. Ask them to what level they are taught. Ask them if they are qualified to teach.

My Instructor can do No Touch K.O's

Really? Fantastic.. just ensure that you do not get caught up in that rubbish... Ask him to do it on someone with no experience of him or what he does.. with a light attack for his safety and see what happens

My Instructor says that I should not train with you or in your system as he knows much more than you do anyway.

Fantastic, I am always looking to learn. Please ask your Instructor to get in touch and if he is as good as he says, then we will help to promote him in every way we can. I will be the first to let everyone know how great he is.

Are there really pressure points in kata bunkai?

Of course. Pressure Points can be added to whatever technique you are doing. Unless, of course, the Bunkai is the usual rubbish that is being touted around

How can you teach Bunkai for any system? You do not even know all the Katas?

That's right.. I do not know all the Katas. I do however understand how the body works and how to interpret moves from any Kata in any system. You know what? You can learn this too... it ain't hard.

How could you use Pressure Points when being attacked by lots of people at once and you are on the ground and they are kicking the crap out of you and also stabbing at you with knives?

Seriously.. I get asked this ALOT! All I can say is this.. if you have a way of getting away from a group of people, kicking the crap out of you on the ground and sticking a knife in, then I would love to see it. What a dumb question!

What would you do against someone who is MUCH bigger, stronger, faster, better fighter, more skilled, psychotic, knife wielding and with full intent of killing you and they caught you by surprise?

Die you idiot
